Alternatives when unable to book an appointment

We are facing high demand for polyclinic appointments.

We are doing our best to see as many patients as possible.

There are many options available if you are unable to secure an appointment at our polyclinic:

Medical Condition	Options
Acute condition (need to see a doctor on the same day or within the next few days)	Book an appointment at a CHAS GP Clinic nearby through the national Health Appointment System. Visit a CHAS GP Clinic nearby. Engage a telemedicine provider.
Acute condition with mild symptoms (do not require medical certificate)	Visit the polyclinic pharmacist for recommendations on medication to help relieve your symptoms.
Chronic condition, on regular follow-up at NUP and running out of regular medication.	Visit our polyclinic pharmacy for a one-time, short-term medication top-up and then proceed to the counter to make an appointment to see the doctor on another day. (Note: To avoid delays, always ensure that you have secured your next appointment before leaving the clinic after each follow-up visit)
Chronic condition, enrolled with a GP under HealthierSG	Please visit your enrolled GP clinic for your chronic condition, to ensure continuity of care. (For more information on subsidised medication at your enrolled GP clinic please visit https://www.moh.gov.sg/news-highlights/details/healthier-sg-chronic-tier-subsidy-framework-to-start-from-1-february-2024)
Non-acute condition (no need for urgent consultation)	Consider one of the options listed above. Try logging in to the NUHS App or Healthhub again to check for a slot at one of our seven polyclinics.
Dental Condition	Options
Urgent dental condition	Visit a CHAS Dental Clinic nearby
Routine dental care (no need for urgent dental consultation)	Try logging in to the NUHS App or Healthhub again to check for a slot at one of our polyclinics with dental services. Visit a CHAS Dental Clinic nearby.

For emergencies, please visit the Emergency Department of your nearest hospital.

Manage Your Appointments with the NUHS App

With the NUHS App, you can view, make, change or cancel your appointment(s).

You can also better manage your time and register up to 30 minutes before your appointment time.
